Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a securely hashed password, plus any account identifiers we generate for you (such as your account number). Password resets, magic links, and invitations are handled through our authentication provider.
Advertiser and license application information. If you apply to advertise, we collect your business name, legal entity name, contact name, phone, email, business address, licensed state(s), and — for bail bond agents — your license or NPN number and license status. Bail bond applications are reviewed manually using publicly available state licensing and Secretary of State records.
Payment information. Ad purchases are processed by Stripe. Card numbers, CVV codes, and bank details are entered directly with Stripe — we never see or store them on our systems. We do store a Stripe customer/payment reference, the amount paid, the item purchased, and the status of the purchase so we can fulfill and support your order.
IP address for compliance records. When you acknowledge your state's advertising rules before posting or purchasing an ad, we record your IP address at the moment of that acknowledgment, together with the exact rule text shown to you, the statute citation, your legal name, license number, state, and a timestamp with time zone. This is an evidentiary audit trail and is the specific reason we capture IP addresses.
Ad creatives. Video files you upload for your ad segments, along with metadata such as duration and trim points.
Technical logs. Standard web and server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, error details) used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
Why we collect it
- To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
- To sell, schedule, and fulfill ad segments and packages, and to issue receipts.
- To review advertiser eligibility and verify bail bond license status.
- To keep a permanent compliance record that a required advertising-rules acknowledgment was made.
- To send transactional email — password resets, purchase receipts, operational PINs, and account notices.
- To secure the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles about you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf. They may only use it to provide their service to us:
- Stripe — payment processing, checkout, and receipts.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage hosting.
- Google Translate — the optional on-page translation widget is a third-party, client-side Google service. If you use it, your page content and browser information are handled by Google under Google's own privacy terms.
- Our email delivery provider — sends transactional email from our verified sending domain and maintains an unsubscribe/suppression list.
We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use necessary session and authentication cookies (and equivalent browser storage) to keep you signed in and to protect form submissions. These are required for the site to work and are not used for advertising.
If you activate the Google Translate widget, Google may set its own cookies or storage in your browser. That is outside our control; you can avoid it by not using the widget.
How long we keep data
Compliance acknowledgment records are kept permanently by design. They exist to prove what advertising rules an advertiser was shown and agreed to at a specific moment. They cannot be edited or deleted, including at a user's request.
Other information — account details, advertiser applications, purchase history, and ad creatives — is kept while your account is active and afterward as needed for support, accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Uploaded creatives for expired or removed ads are cleaned up on a recurring schedule.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Accounts require an adult. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it, subject to the permanent compliance-record exception described above.
Your choices and rights
You can request a copy of the personal information tied to your account, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account and delete your data by emailing admin@mybailhelper.com from the address on the account. You can stop non-essential email at any time through the unsubscribe link in our emails or the unsubscribe page; we will still send required transactional messages while your account is open.
The one exception to deletion is compliance acknowledgment records. Because those records are the audit trail showing an advertiser was presented with, and affirmatively accepted, their state's advertising rules, deleting them would destroy the evidence they exist to preserve. They are retained even after an account is closed.
Security
Access to advertiser and account data is restricted by row-level database policies, role-based access controls, and rotating operational PINs for privileged actions. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform develops. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page.
